Automobiles and their on-board networks are increasing in complexity. Data from sensors, infotainment, and safety systems have strict timing constraints and must be prioritized and transmitted using various communication protocols.
Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) is a set of standards that addresses this challenge by enabling low-latency and deterministic communication using standard Ethernet technology. This enables higher bandwidth and integration of in-car networks and results in significant savings in the wiring harness.
In this live webinar, we will define the potential sources of latency in an automotive network, and through hardware examples explore their individual and cumulative effects. We will further describe strategies for implementing TSN networks with ultra-low overall latency.
